Taking a twist in our trip to Michigan

Do you live far away from family? If so then you may do what we normally do, stay with family when visiting.

Well, my family lives in Michigan and we have been trying to go a couple of times of the year. The only problem for others is they never know how many children I will have at the time until the day before I leave for Michigan.

My husband and I do foster care so our home can change in a blink. This is something I love doing and will probably do it until I can no longer do it anymore.

We always stay at my mom’s but this time I have rented a campsite for a week and plan to not only see family and friends but enjoy some camping. We had not go to do any camping this year so we are going to push this last week of vacation as far as we can.

Most camping is done within thirty minutes of our home so we are going to test the water and camp nine hours from home. When you are thirty minutes away, it is nothing to run home and grab what was forgotten.

I see this as a challenge and will update all of you when we return home. At this time we have five minor children, two adult children, my husband and myself. This could change before we leave because we still have over two weeks.

I think this will be fun, stressful, and a little crazy at times but it will be worth it at the end.

We hope to share photos of the Zoo, Full Blast, and a few other places. See ya soon 🙂
