If you’re sick of having a ‘Mommy body’, then don’t just sit there and do nothing. Yes, your body has changed, and that should never be deemed as a bad thing. You’ve brought a life into the world, and that’s incredible. Having said that, it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try to get in shape. Being active and getting fit is one of the major ways to ensure you are living a healthy lifestyle, as well as looking and feeling your best.
There are plenty of tools on the market to do so, that doesn’t take up too much of your time because we all know you’re a busy woman!
Here are a few ideas that you can do to get back in shape.
Resistance bands are amazing because you can pop them in your handbag and take them wherever you want. Not only that but you can do virtually anything with them. You can target all the different areas in your arms, your legs, bum and even your abs – it all depends on how you use them. It can be as simple as doing ordinary exercises as you usually would but incorporating the resistance band to add a little more intensity.
So the next time you’ve got a spare few minutes, whip out your band and tone up your legs before you pick the kids up from school.
If you plan on working out, or cleaning the house (which totally counts!) then get yourself a waist trimmer to wear. These are usually made from a neoprene fabric because it’s very lightweight. You wrap them around your waist and then get on with your session. Because they are quite tight, then make you sweat which gets rid of your water weight, all while working as an excellent back support too. Get on with your waist trimmer exercises and feel how the area will heat up on your skin as you work. The more you sweat, the better, so get your body moving, melt away the calories and be supported as you do so.
If you like a variation to your workouts, then a swiss ball can be a lot of fun to use. Whether you want a solid six-pack or a banging’ booty, you can work on all the tricky areas with this, and it doesn’t cost much at all. You can expect to get great muscle tone all over your body if you use this regularly, and it’s also very easy on the joints. Not only that but you can really improve your balance as you will be engaging your core muscles the whole time, even if you’re focusing on your legs, your core is still having to remain strong and stable so you don’t end up wobbling around everywhere.
Now you see how little you actually need to get in shape, along with how cheap it is, you can incorporate these into your life – even if it’s just thirty minutes every day. You will get into the habit of being active, and not only will you feel great physically, but mentally too, and that’s what is important.
