Been a busy mommy this summer

All my summer craziness.

Just wanted to write a short post about how my summer has come and gone and what pulled me away for a bit.

The last couple of summers seemed as if we had no family time and we watched them come and go. I was determined to change that this year.

We were able to do a couple of camping trips but I wish we could have done more. Camping was fun and I am looking forward to spending a lot more time camping next year. Joshua will be a year older and it will be a little easier.

I was so focused on trying to find that family time that I slipped on reviewing and writing.

Was it worth it to me? Yes, it was worth it because we did more with kids. It may not have been going places but it was time spent with them.

During the summer I found out my dad had cancer. This put me in a depressed mood and stress like no tomorrow. My dad is getting radiation and chemo treatments. He just recently had a feeding tube put in. He was being stubborn with the feeding tube but he was losing so much weight and getting weaker.

I am leaving this week to go to Michigan so I can see my dad. He is doing better from what I am told. I will update more on that when I get back.

On top of all this, I have been going through the process of reopening my home as a foster parent. We have been closed for less than a year but we had to do everything all over again.

Then my son Billy Jr and I got into Pokemon Go!! Been spending my nights in town walking for hours and hunting Pokemon. This is good exercise and very exhausting for someone who is not active like that anymore.

So how did you spend your summer? Was it peaceful and relaxing? Was it on the fast pace and never seem like a dull moment? Did you find new ways to entertain the kids?

Hope you all enjoyed your summer. I am back and will be writing more but not daily.
