Sand bucket theme for my son’s birthday.
Our little guy turned two and we wanted to have a big celebration for him. He was sick on his first birthday so we made up for it this year.
I had seen on Facebook where someone had done a dump truck theme and that was what I wanted. When I saw that was not working out for us, I thought I needed
This is what we came up with and I felt it was pretty cool.
We still have plenty of the summer left to go to the lake and now he has plenty of sand toys to keep him happy.
When planning his party I was all about doing things that would be easy and give me less work. I ordered a cupcake cake from Wal-Mart. You get 24 cupcakes but it looks like a cake! We went with Mickey Mouse.
We also bought the ice cream cups. You get vanilla and chocolate when buying them and they really don’t cost that much. This made life so much easier than having to dish out ice cream!
Next, comes the big birthday gift! I didn’t realize how big this thing was until I went to pick it up after ordering it online. I was surprised my little guy could reach the pedal but he sure did.
Now this gets a little scary. This has the high and low gear on it! I thought we could set it to only go 2.5 mph but that is not the case. Joshua was quick to figure out it went faster and would keep putting it in high gear when we put it in low gear.
Today turned out great! I was totally surprised at how well it went. We had an army of children so I was not really all for taking anything inside. We did end up inside after food and cake and ice cream but remained in one room so it was not all too bad.
So this was our birthday party for our two years old. What themes have you used? How have you made your parties less work?
Happy Birthday to my sweet little boy Joshua!
