Happy Mothers Day to all of you Mothers!
I hope all you moms out there enjoy your day and that you have memories of the day with your kids.
The boys and I had a day together and that is what I love about being a mother. We first started with having lunch at the Cook Out in Cookeville, Tennessee. Then we headed over to Sarah’s so Garrett could give her a mother’s day gift.
Then Garrett got his Easter basket that she and Bobbie had gotten him. It was late but due to medical reason.
After we were finished there, we headed on over to DogWood Park. This park has become my favorite place. There is a fountain so the kids can get wet and then there is a playground on the other side so they can play. Today the park was full of dogs and that is all Joshua cared about. He was more interested in chasing the dog then getting wet. Here is some pictures of us at the fountain.
While I was taking some pictures of Garrett, Billy was watching Joshua. I got a few of Billy and Joshua and it is very rare that I am able to get pictures of Billy.
After Garrett played int he water for a few we walked over to the playground part. I love the playground because there is an area that is for our little guys. There is only one way out of the play area so you can feel better when you have a toddler and then an older child. Joshua also loves this park because he is free to roam in an area that he is safe in.
Now for some pictures of the boys playing and being boys.
We also got some pictures of me and the boys together.
I don’t know why but today at the park it seemed like so many kids were wearing orange. I thought I would be smart and put orange on the boys so it would be easier to keep track of them. Well, that did not happen. It was so hot today and we really were not prepared for the heat but he did have fun. We were unable to stay for a long time because Joshua had a runny nose and watery eyes. I know this is the allergies kicking in.
This is how my day was with boys! I love days like this minus my little one not feeling so great at the end of day. Joshua didn’t feel well last night so he wanted to be held and he let me rock him to sleep. I have not rocked him to sleep in a very long time. When he gets sleepy he will just lie down and not want to be bothered. I hate that he is sick but I enjoyed holding my baby and rocking him to sleep. I started him on his allergy medicine so I do hope today will be a better for him.
I hope you all have a beautiful day with your children today. If they are small enjoy every moment you can because before you know they will be grown. My oldest is 27 years old and my youngest is 22 months. I do miss my adult children being small.
Today we are going to have BBQ Chicken on the grill and I am going to spend the day with the kids. This is what I enjoy the most. If you are ever in the area of Cookeville Tennessee, you will want to check this park out. Great family fun and filled with memories.
