Nine things I can not stand to touch

Posted by Kerri Mosher on January 10, 2017 in Blog |

I was challenged to write about nine things I cannot stand to touch. So here are nine things I hate touching or simply will not touch.

Cotton Balls

The first thing I cannot stand to touch is cotton. I will not pull cotton balls out of a pill bottle for anything. I do not know what it is about cotton balls but the feel of it just makes me cringe.

Raw Chicken

We are big chicken eaters but I honestly have to wash my hands a million times when trying to prepare and cook it. I don’t like the slimy feeling or the smell.

Oily lotion

I am very picky when it comes to lotion. If I try a new lotion and it feels oily and I cannot get it to rub in I have to wash it off.  Lotion should rub in and leave my skin smooth and dry.

Jello and Snot

Jello and snot are in the same category for me. I have the feel of anything that resembles jello or snot. I do not like the feel of things that can be slimy.

Wool

I am not sure why I cannot stand the feel of wool but it feels itchy and uncomfortable to me.  Now some of the new wool stuff doesn’t feel as bad as back in the day wool blankets.

Ice Cubes

I hate cold things so ice cubes have to be on my list. Ice cubes are something I will not hold on to. It takes me seconds and I am jumping around dancing if I have to hold ice cubes.

Dirt

Do not like the gritty feeling of dirt and cannot stand the smell of dirt. When my little one comes in from outside he goes in the tub. I don’t know why the smell hits me like it does but when children come in from outside all I can smell is dirt.

Bugs

Now other than the cotton that I completely refuse to touch, I will not touch a bug. I hate the look of bugs and I hate the feeling I get if one crawls on me. This mommy doesn’t do bugs.

What are some of the things you cannot stand to touch or refuse to touch?
