First hamburger at the age of 19.
Can you imagine never eating a hamburger until your almost 20 years old? My son Billy has eaten his first hamburger just recently and he will be 20 years old the end of this month. I could not imagine never having eaten a hamburger. I was very happy that he now enjoys eating hamburgers. He will still choose chicken over any kind of meat but I was really amazed when he was ready to try a hamburger.
Billy is what I called my texture baby. He likes food based on the texture of the food. I could never figure out why he didn’t eat anything and the doctor told me when he was younger that he was eating food that had certain textures.
Billy is that kid that could not have his food touch at all. I will never forget when we had to make his peanut butter and Jelly sandwiches with three pieces of bread. This separated the peanut butter and jelly. Billy always had to have a divider plate and if his food touch you could surely forget about him eating it.
Billy has gotten better about trying new foods. You would think that some of the stuff he eats is uncommon for a picky eater but he isn’t really picky only with texture.
I will never forget the first time I saw spinach dip. I would not try that for nothing. My friend Sandy introduced it to me. It may look nasty but it is some awesome stuff.
Do you have a common food that you have never tried due to the looks, smell, or texture?
