Our trip to Binder Park Zoo.

Our trip to Binder Park Zoo in Battle Creek, Michigan.

We went to Michigan on May 12, 2016,  to visit family and to do a few other things while we were there. While we were there we took the boys to the Zoo. Billy went with me and niece Alica to help with the kids. We took Garrett, Joshua, and Riley.

I was kinda of disappointed because they didn't have the animals out that we wanted to see. I wouldn't have not minded so much but the main reason we went was to see the Giraffes and Turtles. For 2 adults and 2 children, they charge $50.00 which is not worth that when you are not able  to see what you go to see.

Going to Michigan in May is a risk anyways because the weather is not always going to be nice. It was about 60 degrees on Friday when we went to the zoo. Here are some pictures of what we were able to see.

Kids having fun in between the animals

Now the kids enjoyed themselves even if they were not able to see some of the cooler animals. Here is some things they did to keep themselves happy.

Binder Park Zoo Australia

Binder Park Zoo has an Australia that you take a ride to or you can walk to get there. This is where you can see the Giraffes, Turtles, Monkeys, and some other cool animals. We took the ride up and we were disappointed because most of the animals up there were not out. There was some monkeys out but not all of them.

Children’s petting zoo

Binder Park has a children's petting zoo. This is where the little ones can feed and pet the goats. They have donkey's, rabbitts and other small animals. Riley went inside to pet the goats but once he was in there he wasn't into petting them.

Some of my favorites

I saved my favorites for last. I love the prairie dogs. I love to sit and watch these little guys. They run all over and seem to be full of energy. Joshua enjoyed watching them too. We didn't get to see tons of them like normal but I do believe the weather was not so warm to them. Today was the first day I hear Lemur's make a nose. These little guys are my favorite also. We also got to see some bear. The bear's were not to active so we were not able to see them two well but I did get a picture of them.

Now to wrap up our visit to the zoo.

Here is some pictures of the kids on a stone turtle. I would recommend if you go to this zoo to make sure you go in the middle of summer. This will give you a full day of family fun and you will get your money's worth. The kids had fun but I was still disappointed with the amount of animals that were not availabe to us. I know that the animals were kept inside for there health so it would not have been so bad if they would of let us in for half the cost. Another thing that really shocked me was, after paying $50.00 for 4 people they still ask you if you want to donate to help feed the animals. I am going to finish this up with a few more pictures. Our trip to Michigan was a cold one and I am so happy to be back home. I will be posting more of our trip to Michigan.

This is a day at the zoo on Friday May 13, 2016 in Battle Creek, Michigan

The kids had fun, we didn't freeze too bad so it was not all bad. Have plenty more coming from our trip to Michigan. So stay tuned.
