My struggle trying to shower today. Well we all know that when you have a toddler you no longer get to have them private moments! A new favorite saying for me is “Please let me pee in peace!” Not that it is going to happen but I still say it.
How about trying to get a shower when you have toddle? Well I solved that problem when Joshua was about 7 months old. I put him in the shower with me. I started when he was young so he would not be afraid of the shower and so that I could take a shower and not have to worry about him waking up from a nap and not being able to hear him crying. Well all was good until today! When I take a shower I always plug the tub so there will be some water in the tub and he can sit and play while I wash. Well he has been enjoying the water so he no longer stays in the back of the tub out of the shower water. He enjoys being in the front of tub. I worried about him turning the faucets and burning us so I kept a close eye on him. Well today he figured out how to get the water to come out of the faucet and not the shower head.
I am standing in the shower with shampoo in my hair and the water disappears! So I pull the shower lever back up and he pushes back down. This goes on and on but I finally manage to get the shampoo out of hair and get washed up. I did have to get soap all over my body than fight to get it rinsed off but I manage.
I am hoping tomorrow he has forgot about the lever that gives him his running water! If not then I will come up with another clever ideal to get my shower.
Soon I will get to have my shower time back to myself! Waiting to enjoy that hot water again and the peace for 5 minutes.
